Ibrahim Ali Khan and Palak Tiwari, who never once said out loud that they were together, are now reportedly done. Hindustan Times first reported the split, citing an insider who said Ibrahim took the call to end things after more than three years and that the two parted on good terms.

The insider's quote, as carried by Hindustan Times, was blunt about why there's been no statement: "We don't know…but the breakup is amicable, and the two aren't planning to wash their dirty linen in public. They both will focus on their respective careers, for now." No reason was given for the split. Both Ibrahim and Palak have stayed silent, and going by Filmy Focus, they're still following each other on Instagram, which is either a non-event or the only detail keeping this from being a done deal, depending on who you ask online.

What makes the timing odd is that the two were seen together on a tiger safari in Ranthambore earlier this October, a trip that made the rounds well before any breakup talk started. Fans had spent three years piecing together a relationship from matching backgrounds in travel photos and joint appearances at premieres, including The Bhootni screening that Ibrahim attended. Neither side ever gave fans a straight yes.

Ibrahim came closest to addressing it in an old interview, calling Palak "a good friend" and leaving it there. Palak was more detailed in a 2023 chat with Siddharth Kannan, where she insisted the relationship was manufactured by paparazzi narratives. "We were just out, and we got papped. It ends there," she'd said then, adding that the two were "nice friends" who talk sometimes.

Her parents have been asked about it too. Shweta Tiwari has shut the rumours down whenever they've come up, while her father Raja Chaudhary has said he's unbothered either way, though he's also said he'd want Palak focused on her career before anything else. Last October, Ibrahim's aunt Saba Ali Khan posted a birthday wish for Palak on social media and then deleted it, which did nothing to calm the speculation at the time.

Filmy Focus has floated a theory worth flagging as unverified: that Ibrahim doesn't want the breakup chatter following him into his reported appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9. Nothing on that episode is confirmed either. Ibrahim's next release is Diler opposite Sreeleela, while Palak, who debuted with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan, has her own slate to get back to.

For now this sits exactly where the relationship always did, somewhere between confirmed and denied, with both camps letting the silence do the talking.
