Salman Khan has thrown his weight behind Prime Video's period drama The Revolutionaries, and the show's team is not being shy about it.

The actor met director Nikkhil Advani and lead Bhuvan Bam, then posted the trailer on his own Instagram handle. That's it, really. No elaborate campaign, no press event. Just a superstar picking up his phone.

Bam wrote back on social media almost immediately. "Revolutionaries dil mein aate hain, dimaag mein nahi," he said, before going further in a separate statement about what the moment meant to him.

"The love and adulation that The Revolutionaries has received has been truly overwhelming," Bam said. "Fans from different parts of the globe have flooded our comments and DMs showering praise on the show and it just motivates us to do better. Now with Salman sir too giving his thumbs up to The Revolutionaries, we couldn't have been happier. It is truly a high point in my career to have met him and listened to his thoughts about the show. To have his support and validation is something I'll always cherish and it means the world to us."

He closed with a direct thank-you to Khan.

For a show built around a chapter of the freedom movement that doesn't get the textbook treatment, this kind of nod from Bollywood's biggest star matters more than a dozen paid promotions would.

The series draws on Sanjeev Sanyal's book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom, and Advani has built it around the scale and action you'd expect from a period piece with this kind of ambition. Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani produce under Emmay Entertainment.

The cast leans on faces that don't usually share a frame. Bam headlines alongside Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada, with Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury filling out key parts. It's a mix of a YouTube-turned-actor crossover star, a couple of established younger names, and reliable character actors, which is probably why the show has drawn attention beyond the usual streaming crowd.

Whether Khan's endorsement translates into a fresh spike in viewership is the thing to watch now. Prime Video hasn't put out numbers, and there's no word yet on whether this pushes the platform to extend the show's promotional run or line up a second season conversation. For now, it's just one influential thumbs-up, and a cast that clearly needed the boost.
