Shalini Vijay acted through her childhood and into her twenties, opposite Vijay, Madhavan and Prashanth among others, before she met Ajith on a film set. The two fell for each other while working together and married soon after. She stepped away from acting once the marriage happened, and by most accounts hasn't fronted a camera since.
