Shera's son is stepping in front of the camera. Abir Singh, whose father Gurmeet Singh Jolly has spent decades as Salman Khan's most recognisable bodyguard, is preparing for his Bollywood debut with a film called Tarzan, according to Filmfare.

The casting puts two very different Bollywood inheritances in the same frame. Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, is also part of the project. Sooraj already has a decade in the industry behind him, having debuted with Hero in 2015 and gone on to appear in Satellite Shankar, Time to Dance and Kesari Veer. He's also worked as an assistant director, which is more backstage experience than most star kids bother picking up before their own launch.

Abir is coming at this from a different angle entirely. Shera isn't an actor or a producer. He's the man who has stood a few feet from Salman Khan through premieres, court dates, brawls outside nightclubs and every kind of public scrum in between, for the better part of two decades. That makes him one of the most photographed non-actors in the country, and it means his son arrives with a level of recognition most debutants would kill for, even without a single credit to his name.

What that recognition actually buys him is a separate question. Bollywood has no shortage of insiders' kids who got the door opened and then couldn't do much once they were through it. Abir's Instagram already shows him leaning into the attention, but an Instagram following isn't a performance, and Tarzan will be the first real test of whether there's an actor under the surname recognition.

No release date, director or full cast list has surfaced yet beyond what Filmfare has reported, so treat the project as confirmed-but-early for now. The bigger story here isn't really about Abir at all. It's about how far Bollywood's definition of "industry connection" has stretched, from actors' kids and directors' nephews all the way down to the guy who used to clear a path through the paparazzi for someone else's star. If Tarzan gets a trailer or a first-look poster in the coming weeks, expect the comparisons to Sooraj Pancholi's own launch story to start writing themselves.

For now, both actors are attached, the title is Tarzan, and everything else, the shoot schedule, the studio, the release window, is still an open question waiting on an official announcement.
