Nani’s latest action drama posts a net of ₹76.4 crore in India, adds a solid overseas haul and keeps the buzz alive despite mixed reviews.
Domestic surge fuels a record run
Day three of The Paradise saw the film pull in another ₹12.49 crore from Andhra Pradesh (₹4.26 crore) and Telangana (₹8.22 crore). The two states have now contributed a cumulative net of about ₹63 crore, cementing their role as the film’s backbone. Across all Indian territories the picture has logged a net of ₹76.40 crore and a gross of ₹90.50 crore, according to trade tracker Sakanic.
State‑by‑state breakdown
In Andhra alone the net tally sits at ₹25 crore, while Telangana adds ₹38 crore to the total. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and the rest of the country have chipped in modestly – roughly ₹3.55 crore, ₹9.05 crore, ₹0.67 crore and ₹7.48 crore respectively. The film’s premiere earnings were ₹11 crore, with the opening day bringing in ₹34.65 crore and the second day adding ₹14.90 crore.
Overseas momentum
North America has been the most responsive overseas market. Pre‑release bookings were strong, and the region has now generated about $1.85 million (≈₹17.72 crore) over three days – $1.63 million on opening, $1.5 million on day two and $1.18 million on day three. Other territories – the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Gulf and Singapore – have together contributed roughly ₹29 crore.
Adding the overseas figures to the domestic gross pushes the worldwide total to about ₹119.5 crore. Some promotional posters claim a ₹136 crore gross, a number the production house has yet to confirm.
Budget vs. Break‑even
Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri reportedly shelled out a budget north of ₹120 crore. Trade analysts estimate the film needs to cross the ₹200 crore mark globally to break even, given distribution and marketing costs.
What the numbers mean
The film’s performance is noteworthy because it has defied a wave of mixed critical chatter. While some reviewers pointed out narrative flaws, audiences in the Telugu heartland have turned up in force, and the overseas diaspora appears equally enthusiastic. If the current trajectory holds, The Paradise could become one of Nani’s biggest commercial successes, potentially outpacing his earlier hits Dasara and Hit 3 which together amassed around ₹121 crore over their full runs.
Looking ahead
The weekend is expected to bring a further bump, especially as more screens in smaller towns get the film. Industry watchers will be keen to see whether the overseas numbers keep climbing or plateau after the initial hype. For now, the box‑office board shows a film that’s turned early skepticism into a cash‑flow surge, and the next few days will decide if it can sustain the momentum long enough to hit the coveted ₹200 crore milestone.
