The Vvaan is within striking distance of becoming Sidharth Malhotra’s fourth highest-grossing film. With ₹67.06 crore net at the Indian box office after 14 days, it’s just ₹2.94 crore away from overtaking Student of the Year (2012) and claiming the 4th spot in his career tally. That number isn’t a stretch — day 14 collections stood at ₹75 lakh, down from ₹80 lakh the day before, but still holding steady enough to suggest momentum through the weekend. The film’s total gross is now ₹79.15 crore, a clean return given its modest budget and controlled marketing spend. It’s not a blockbuster, but it’s a safe bet. And for Malhotra, that’s enough. The fantasy thriller, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Niraj Kothari, and Arunabh Kumar under Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures, and 11:11 Productions, has been quietly consolidating its position. But it didn’t escape the shadow of Drishyam 3, which dented its second-week numbers with a massive 15,000-show rollout and sustained buzz. The drop was steep, 77.76% from opening week earnings of ₹54.86 crore. But even so, The Vvaan remains a commercial success. Tamannah Bhatia, Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari, and Maniesh Paul held their ground, though the film never quite ignited beyond expectations. Still, for a mid-tier fantasy thriller in a crowded October slate, it’s done better than most. The real question now? Whether it can cross the line before the next big release hits screens. Because if Dongā Nā Kōduku does open on November 13 as rumored, the race for the top five will get messy fast.
