Trisha Krishnan walked into Silverstone on Friday, stepping out of a car in jeans, a T-shirt and a maroon jacket, not long after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay had made his own entrance at the circuit. Ajith Kumar is racing there this weekend as part of the Michelin Le Mans Cup 2026, and the clip of Trisha heading into the tent area was circulating on social media within minutes.

Fans had spent the morning arguing over whether she'd show up at all. Some accounts insisted she'd skip Silverstone entirely. She didn't.

The timing is what set things off. Trisha arriving right after Vijay, at an event where Ajith is the one actually competing, gave the internet exactly the coincidence it wanted. Clips tagging her as "Ajith Kumar's friend" who'd come to cheer him on did the rounds too, alongside posts that read her arrival purely through the Vijay lens.

A pattern that keeps repeating

This isn't a one-off. Trisha was photographed with veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar in London earlier in the week, a selfie Radhika posted herself that travelled fast among fans. Radhika is in the UK for the same race, having reportedly met Ajith ahead of it.

And Trisha's presence at Vijay's bigger public moments has become its own running story this year. She was there at his swearing-in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister back in May, seated with his family, visibly emotional during his first address. She turned up again at the Tamil Nadu Independence Day event in August, front row, close to Vijay's parents, seen saluting him during the proceedings.

Neither Trisha nor Vijay has said a word about the speculation that's followed them for years now, whether it's about a relationship, a past one, or nothing at all. That silence hasn't slowed anything down. If anything it's done the opposite. Every shared frame, every appearance at the same event, gets read as confirmation by fans who've made up their minds either way.

What actually happened at Silverstone: a race weekend, Ajith behind the wheel, Vijay and Trisha both present as spectators, no joint appearance, no statement, no photo of the three of them together that anyone's produced yet. Everything beyond that is fans doing the work themselves.

The Michelin Le Mans Cup round runs through the weekend. Whether Trisha, Vijay and Ajith are photographed together before it wraps up is the next thing worth watching, that and whatever either camp does or doesn't say once the cars go quiet.
