Vedika Pinto did not expect her calendar to fill up quite this fast. The actress, who plays Sudha in Musafir Cafe alongside Vikrant Massey, says the show's reception has been overwhelming, and that the one thing nobody warned her about was how little time she would suddenly have left.

"It has been crazy!" she said. "I have been loving the kind of response it has been generating, but I never accounted for the lack of time that would come with that. Now I have realised that if I am to achieve all that I want to, then time is not going to be that readily available. But it is a good problem to have...I am not complaining!"

Sudha has turned into one of the more talked-about parts of Musafir Cafe. Viewers have picked up on the warmth Pinto brings to the character, and her scenes with Massey have become a point of conversation around the show. It is the kind of reaction actors chase for years and sometimes never get.

Pinto is not new to shifting gears on screen. Her filmography already runs through Operation Romeo, Gumraah and Nishaanchi, three very different kinds of films, and Musafir Cafe adds another register to that list. What has changed is the scale of the response, and with it, the demand on her diary.

That demand is not slowing down anytime soon. Pinto is confirmed to return as Sudha when Musafir Cafe comes back for a second season, so whatever momentum the character has built will carry forward rather than reset.

Alongside that, she is reportedly set to star opposite Lakshya in an upcoming film, a project said to mix romance with a psychological angle. Bollywood Hungama had earlier reported that the film is director Prosit Roy's next. Details on casting specifics and a shoot timeline have not been confirmed beyond that.

For now, Pinto's problem is the one every working actor says they want. Too many scripts, too little time, and a character that audiences are not ready to let go of yet. Season 2 of Musafir Cafe does not have a release date out in the open, and neither does the Lakshya film. Both will need one soon, given how quickly her name is coming up in the same sentence as her next projects.
