Veer Pahariya has swapped the promotional circuit for a temple courtyard, at least for a day. The actor travelled to the Kamakhya Temple in Assam and posted a photo from inside its premises, captioned "Jai Jai Maa KAMAKHYA" with a string of devotional emojis. No press note, no big statement. Just a man asking for blessings before his second film opens.

He wore a blue kurta with a red and gold stole for the visit, which comes at a curious moment for him. Prem Keetanu, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, hits theatres worldwide on October 2, timed to Gandhi Jayanti. That's three weeks out. The film pulls Veer into a college drama built around friendship, ambition and heartbreak, a hard turn from the aerial action of Sky Force, the film that introduced him last year.

He's not carrying it alone. Aparshakti Khurana, Aafiya Sayed, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay round out the cast, and the film also happens to be the first production to come out of Gaurav Verma's newly launched banner, Avanika Films. First outings tend to get watched closely, both for the studio and for the actor trying to prove his debut wasn't a one-off.

And that scrutiny is very much part of the conversation right now. Veer's post-Sky Force run has drawn its share of online sniping, the kind that questions whether the offers are keeping pace with the performances. None of that changes what's actually on the release calendar though. Prem Keetanu's promotions have been steady through September, with the track 'Tu Mera Raiyyo' already out and 'Kaho Toh,' sung by Armaan Malik, released alongside a moment between Veer and Aafiya Sayed's characters.

The Kamakhya visit reads less like a publicity stunt and more like a quiet beat between promo stops, the sort of thing actors do before a film either lands or doesn't. Whether the blessings translate to box office is a different question, and one that answers itself on October 2. Till then, the songs keep dropping and the countdown keeps running.
