Vijay Sethupathi walked into the secret room on Bigg Boss Tamil season 10's opening night and found a legislative assembly waiting for him. Rows of seats. A raised chair for a speaker. The whole thing built inside a reality show set, which is the kind of detail that only makes sense once someone explains it.

So Sethupathi explained it. Filmibeat Tamil reported that he told viewers the main door is where contestants walk in, but this room is where the voice of the people walks in. Then, standing in that assembly hall, he asked the audience directly for their support this season. It's a mildly strange image, a star known for restraint asking for votes from a fake parliament, but it worked as an opener.

The secret room had been teased to journalists during an earlier house walkthrough, according to Filmibeat, so the reveal wasn't a total surprise. What the report frames as the bigger story is the timing. Bigg Boss launched the same day across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, a first for the format in the south. Sethupathi shared the stage over live video with Kichcha Sudeep, Mohanlal and Nagarjuna, the hosts of the Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu versions, in what the report called a rare joint appearance.

A few hundred kilometres away, Colors Kannada was running its own version of suspense. Bigg Boss Kannada 13 premiered the same evening at 7 pm, and the channel had gone to some lengths to avoid showing contestants' faces before the launch. Its promos leaned on an airport theme this year, boarding passes, a plane taking off, and one clip built around a joke, per Filmibeat Kannada, where Sudeep grins and tells viewers they won't get it yet. Regional food swaps in the promo, vade sambar for idli sambar and back, added to the confusion by design.

A person described by Filmibeat Kannada as a reliable source told the outlet's assistant editor Abhishek Ranjith that Colors Kannada has planned twists meant to keep viewers on edge this season, spanning contestant choices and a fresh theme. The channel released a video showing hands holding boarding passes, faces still blurred out, days before the premiere.

One name has slipped through anyway. Filmibeat Kannada spotted actress and model Asiya Firdous, who played the lead in Zee Kannada's recently concluded serial Shravani Subrahmanya, in a frame the channel itself put out. Whether the rest of the lineup gets revealed cleanly at the premiere or leaks out piecemeal, the way Firdous's name did, is the only real question left before tonight's telecast plays out across four languages at once.
