Banks Steps Into Karen Read’s Shoes in Amazon’s True Crime Series

Elizabeth Banks is playing Karen Read in Amazon’s new true crime series, a project rooted in a real-life murder trial that split Massachusetts. The eight-episode drama, written by Justin Noble, explores not just the case but the public obsession with it. Banks, who grew up there, says the story goes beyond courtrooms—it’s about trust, media, and why we believe what we do.
