The film, made on a reported budget of ₹3.5 crore, achieved a staggering 648% return on investment, according to Koimoi’s assessment, earning it a Super Duper Hit verdict at the Indian box office.
Its final weekend brought just ₹4 lakh on its fifth Saturday, likely signaling the end of its theatrical journey. The film’s slow start belied its staying power, sustained by strong word-of-mouth and a tightly written script. Directed by Shahad Nilambur, known for Prakashan Parakkatte (2022) and Anuragam (2023), the film was co-written by P. S. Subramanian and Vijesh Thottingal.
It stars Parvathy Thiruvothu as Aleena, a constable appointed through compassionate grounds after her husband’s death, who finds herself entangled in a crisis when four officers accidentally shoot a man inside a police station. A senior Crime Branch officer, played by Vijayaraghavan, takes up the case, only to be outmaneuvered by one of the very cops he’s trying to expose.
