A week into Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8, one of its most talked-about contestants isn't talking strategy. He's talking heartbreak.

A video doing the rounds in Bigg Boss fan groups shows Eldho George, one of four "commoners" who fought their way into the house through the Agnipariksha trials, opening up to fellow contestant Rahul Eswar about a relationship that ended badly and never quite healed.

Eldho told Rahul he was completely consumed by the relationship. "I was crazy about her. Addicted, honestly. She was my best friend, she was everything," he said, adding that the breakup wasn't the result of a fight. Both of them, he said, were going through a rough patch in life at the same time. He'd quit his job. He was trying to move abroad. None of it was working out.

And that, he said, is exactly when she walked away, in the middle of what he called the darkest stretch of his life. "She tore my heart out and left. Since then I haven't been able to love anyone. I shut down completely. I'll be honest, I'm scared," Eldho said.

Rahul Eswar tried to talk him through it, telling Eldho that men, when they fall, fall twice as hard as women do. "You get addicted to her. Even if she leaves, you keep loving her. You'll carry her memory your whole life. You'll miss her. Your eyes will ache when you don't see her," Rahul said, adding that he'd been through something similar himself.

The clip lands at an interesting moment for Eldho's run in the house. He walked in carrying a reputation problem: a defeated MLA, painted online as a man with no real convictions, someone who talks only in stiff, formal language and plays politician in the house while still in his mundu. Some called him tone-deaf, even unfeeling. But since entering, Eldho has quietly flipped that narrative, watching the game closely and making calculated moves that have viewers rooting for a stronger run in the weeks ahead.

The season itself has already thinned out. It began with 21 contestants and is down to 19 after actress Gayathri Suresh and fight master Kaali were eliminated. Of the four commoners who entered via Agnipariksha, only Eldho, Ragesh and Lolitta have so far mostly stuck to completing the tasks the show hands them, while Shijin has been the one actively working to build a following and create moments inside the house.

If a commoner does end up lifting the season 8 trophy over the celebrity contestants, it'd be a first for the franchise. Whether Eldho, having won over the audience once already, can turn that goodwill into a serious title run is the question the house now has weeks to answer.
