Season 10 of Bigg Boss Tamil hasn't even completed a fortnight, and a section of fans has already decided who's lifting the trophy.

Her name inside the house is Muniyamma. Her real name is Bhanumathi, and until recently she was known in Madurai for something far removed from prime-time television: frying and selling vadai on the street. She made it into the main house through the show's Common Man segment, the audition round where ordinary viewers get a shot at a spot. The path wasn't smooth. Muniyamma reportedly couldn't get a chair during that segment and was left in an awkward spot before producers handed her a Maya token, the wildcard mechanism that pushed her through to the house anyway.

Since then, she's done more than just occupy a bed. Last week, an exchange with host Vijay Sethupathi, delivered in her thick Madurai dialect, is what got Bigg Boss back on everyone's timeline across Tamil Nadu. Fans loved that she didn't hold back with the host, and the clips travelled fast enough that her name started showing up in memes and fan edits within days.

That's where the winner talk started. A section of viewers is already comparing her trajectory to Thamarai Selvi, a past contestant who was widely expected to go the distance in her own season and did. The comparison might be premature this early in a season that, by most accounts, hasn't had a particularly gripping start otherwise. But the internet doesn't wait for nuance, and posts calling Muniyamma the season's inevitable title winner are already piling up.

Inside the house, the reception isn't nearly as warm. Muniyamma is reportedly picking up as much resistance from fellow contestants as she is support from viewers outside, which is the usual shape of a Bigg Boss arc for anyone who plays loud and unfiltered from week one.

What happens next is the real question. Bigg Boss Tamil has a well-worn habit of building someone up early only to write them out. Ovia and Pradeep Anthony both found themselves sidelined and eventually shown the door in earlier seasons despite strong starts. Prasanth Rangasamy managed to make headlines by getting humiliated and walking off the stage on the same night he appeared. Even a single day inside that house is enough to stick the tag of "Bigg Boss fame" to a name for good, whether the run ends in a week or in the finale.

So the question for Vijay TV now is whether Muniyamma gets the Ovia treatment, eased out once the noise around her peaks, or whether she's allowed to run the full season and actually test the fan chatter that's already anointing her. Either way, the next few weeks of eviction nominations will tell us a lot more than the memes currently do.
