The Blue Team's kitchen lockout after winning a tie-breaker task set off the latest flashpoint in Vijay Sethupathi's show, with Jason walking out on TTF Vasan's leadership mid-battle.
Vijay Sethupathi's Bigg Boss Tamil house is doing what it does best heading into Day 45 — turning a kitchen privilege into a full-blown war.
The seventh week's "Survival Battle" task has split the house into Red and Blue teams, and according to the latest promo shared by Pinkvilla, both sides were tied after the opening rounds before a tie-breaker decided it. The Blue Team won. Its reward: the power to lock the Red Team out of the kitchen, leaving its members with no way to cook.
That alone would've made for a tense episode. What's pushed it into proper drama is Jason.
He was on the Red Team. Not anymore. The promo shows him walking over to the Blue Team mid-task, telling TTF Vasan directly that he no longer trusts the Red Team's captaincy. Vasan, reasonably enough, wants to know why this is coming up now and not earlier. Jason's answer, that things have changed, doesn't land well with Avinash, who takes it personally.
Avinash and Jason nearly take it outside
What follows is the kind of moment Bigg Boss editors live for. Jason, instead of backing down, challenges Avinash to settle the issue outside the show altogether. Avinash doesn't take that quietly. He reacts angrily enough that other Red Team members have to step in and physically hold him back, per the promo footage Pinkvilla has detailed.
With the kitchen already restricted and tempers already short, the house is clearly sitting on more friction than one episode can resolve. The promo teases further confrontations as the Survival Battle continues, and given how personally Avinash appears to have taken the switch, this isn't likely to cool off by the next episode.
The defection also raises an obvious question for Red Team loyalists still in the house, does TTF Vasan's captaincy survive this, or does Jason's exit expose cracks that were already there before the tie-breaker forced the issue.
All this comes on the back of a rough stretch for the show. Day 42 saw actress Chandini Tamilarasan voted out, and on the same day, Raaghav Ranganathan left the house early after a leg injury serious enough to end his run on medical grounds. Two exits, one task gone sideways, and now a team switch that's turned captain versus captain into something closer to personal. Season 10, going by its official title Bigg Boss: Carnivizha, isn't short on material this week.
The show airs nightly on Vijay TV at 9:30 PM, with round-the-clock streaming on JioHotstar for anyone who wants to watch the fallout from Jason's switch play out in real time before the next eviction weekend decides who's still standing to see it.
