Diljit Dosanjh didn't wait for the applause at Wembley to die down before dropping his next big move.

On Saturday night, September 12, Dosanjh became the first Punjabi artiste to headline London's Wembley Stadium, playing a two-hour set to a packed house of roughly 90,000 as part of his Aura World Tour. He opened with Punjabi Aa Gaye Wembley Oye! And worked through G.O.A.T., Lover, Hass Hass and Born to Shine, in traditional attire, soaking up a crowd that had reportedly been building energy since the afternoon.

Then came the twist nobody in the stands was expecting.

Mid-show, Dosanjh brought up India's biggest stadium and Coldplay's sold-out run there, before turning the moment into a challenge. "India mein stadium ho, aur Punjabi udhar na ho, yeh toh phir ho nahi sakta," he told the crowd, according to the Free Press Journal, before confirming the date himself. "We are doing Narendra Modi Stadium on 21 November 2026."

That's Ahmedabad, and it isn't Dosanjh's first time there. He played the same city in November 2024 as part of the Dil-Luminati India Tour, a run that covered 14 shows across 13 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh and Guwahati. The Ahmedabad return, two years almost to the week later, suggests he's treating the Narendra Modi Stadium as something of a home ground on the domestic circuit now.

What's missing so far is everything logistical. No word yet on ticket prices, sale dates or how the stage design will scale up for a venue that size. Both Filmfare and the Free Press Journal note that those details are still to be announced, so anyone hoping to book seats will need to sit tight for now.

The Wembley show itself gets folded into a tour that's already spanned Europe and the UK, and Dosanjh called the London date one for the record books. "This moment will go down in the history books," he said, addressing the crowd before the set wound down.

For Indian fans, though, the bigger headline is closer to home. November 21 is now circled on the calendar, and the wait is for the fine print. Whether the Ahmedabad show gets its own visual identity or leans on the Aura tour setup already touring internationally is one of the first things ticket buyers will want to know once bookings open.
