Fahadh Faasil’s latest Telugu film, Don’t Trouble The Trouble, opened on a national holiday with 1.65 crore net in India across 1,200 screens — just 25% occupancy. The numbers are underwhelming, especially for a release backed by SS Rajamouli as presenter and promoted heavily. The film, described by its makers as a children’s film for adults, blends comedy, supernatural elements, and fantasy around the story of Suri, a man in debt to a gangster who plans to kidnap a wealthy child to raise 25 lakh. His plan unravels when he meets Divya, a young girl who claims she made her parents vanish using magic. Starring Fahadh Faasil alongside Ssara Palekar, the film is directed by Shashank Yeleti and produced by S. S. Karthikeya, Shobu Yarlagadda, and Prasad Devineni under Showing Business and Arka Media Works. Despite the high-profile backing, the opening day performance fell short. The largest share came from the Telugu version, which earned 1.44 crore. The Tamil dub collected just 4 lakh, while the Malayalam version pulled in 17 lakh. That’s not a failure, it’s a quiet start. But it’s also not a win. Compared to Fahadh’s last solo lead, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, released in September 2025 during Onam and clashing with Lokah Chapter 1 and Hridayapoorvam, this one is up 120% on opening-day collections. That’s the only positive. His biggest post-pandemic solo hit remains Aavesham. Now, the film’s fate hinges entirely on word of mouth. No star power, no momentum. Just a slow crawl into the weekend. If audiences don’t return on Friday, the numbers won’t grow. And if they don’t grow, the film will fade before it ever finds its rhythm.
