Hanuman Ansh is finally hitting Telugu screens on October 9 — a week after its Hindi release, and it’s not coming quietly. Hombale Films has secured the South rights for a reported premium price, wrapping up dubbing just in time for the launch. The film, a low-budget spiritual drama based on Vishal Chaturvedi’s memoir Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, stars Shobhina Satyaa and Chandan Anand as the leads in a story rooted in the life of Neem Karoli Baba.
It’s already proven a surprise hit in Hindi, where it’s been drawing steady crowds since its initial rollout. Now, the Telugu version arrives with a clash on the horizon: Trivikram Srinivas’ Aadarsha Kutumbam, starring Venkatesh, is also set for release on the same date. That’s not a coincidence. It’s a battle.
The timing suggests Hombale isn’t backing down from competition, even against a director with Trivikram’s clout. But the real question isn’t whether the film will play, it’s whether audiences will care. The original Hindi version was praised for its quiet sincerity, but that doesn’t guarantee traction in a market where mass appeal often trumps subtlety.
