Kiara Advani has jumped on the AI trend that's been reworking celebrity faces into other decades, and her husband Sidharth Malhotra is the one who ended up in double denim and aviators for it.

The actress posted the picture on Instagram on Wednesday, dressing the two of them up as an imagined 80s Bollywood pairing. Sidharth gets the classic denim-on-denim look with dark sunglasses. Kiara is in a pink dress with puffed sleeves, hoop earrings and bangles piled on, the kind of styling that instantly reads as vintage Hindi cinema rather than anything from this decade.

She soundtracked the post with 'Samjho Na', the romantic number from Sidharth's upcoming film The Vvaan. That combination, an old-Bollywood look running under a brand new song, is probably what got people talking. The comments filled up fast. Someone called them a model couple. Someone else said they were living their retro era. And at least one fan reached for the obvious comparison, saying the two looked like Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon, a pairing that basically defined a certain kind of 90s masala romance.

Kiara and Sidharth have had the internet's attention for a while now, ever since their chemistry on the set of Shershaah in 2021 spilled into the promotions and turned into dating rumours that neither of them confirmed for a long stretch. They married in Jaisalmer in February 2023, kept it intimate, then threw separate celebrations in Delhi and Mumbai for everyone else. Their daughter, Saraayah, was born in 2025. Since then the couple has mostly stayed off the oversharing end of Instagram, popping up only occasionally.

On the work side, both have projects moving. Kiara was last seen in Geetu Mohandas' Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups, a film that also had Yash, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara and Rukmini Vasanth on the cast list. Sidharth is closer to a release date. The Vvaan, directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra, opens on September 25. It's a fantasy thriller with Tamannaah Bhatia, Shweta Tiwari, Sunil Grover and Maniesh Paul rounding out the cast, produced under Balaji Motion Pictures with TVF and 11.11 Production also on board.

So the AI picture isn't just a fun throwback exercise, it's also doing quiet promotional work, tying Kiara's personal social feed to her husband's film two and a half weeks before it lands in theatres. Whether the retro trend still has legs by the time The Vvaan actually opens is a different question.
