KPop Demon Hunters is back — and this time, it’s not just a show. It’s a universe. Netflix has launched a dedicated hub for the franchise, turning its 2025 hit into a full-blown streaming ecosystem. The move comes less than a year after the series exploded globally, with fans still buzzing over the blend of K-pop spectacle and supernatural stakes.
Now, the platform is doubling down: a new stop-motion anthology called Playlist Stories drops six episodes, diving deep into the backstories of HUNTR/X and their allies, the Saja Boys. These aren’t just filler, they’re layered, animated narratives that expand the lore beyond concert stages and demon battles. Alongside them, two spin-offs arrive: KPop Toy Creations, where a young filmmaker crafts mini-episodes using toys, and Play Games With Us, a four-part stop-motion challenge series that turns fandom into gameplay.
All are part of Netflix’s strategy to keep the momentum alive ahead of the sequel, currently set for a 2029 release. The original series, co-directed by Maggie Kang, followed Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, real-life pop stars in the fictional world, as they juggled sold-out tours and secret missions against Gwi-Ma, the demon king.
