Kylie Jenner is stepping into the spotlight with her first major acting role in Hulu’s new thriller series, Bachelorette Weekend. The 29-year-old beauty mogul will star as the bride whose death kicks off a murder mystery that unfolds among her closest girlfriends. The series, which has received a straight-to-series order from Hulu, is based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins and adapted by author Lauren Oliver, known for works like Panic and Delirium.
Kim Kardashian, Jenner’s sister, is executive producing the project under her first-look deal with 20th Television, the parent company of Hulu. According to Deadline, the script was pitched to Kardashian, who immediately saw it as a perfect vehicle for Jenner and fast-tracked her involvement. The show is being developed through Kapital Entertainment and StoryGiants, Oliver’s production company.
Jenner’s character is described as the "North Star" of the series — someone whose perspective ties together the fragmented events leading up to the murder. This marks a shift from her previous appearances, including cameos in The Moment and Ocean’s Eight, where she played versions of herself. Now, she’s taking on a full fictional role, a significant leap for a reality TV personality entering scripted drama.
