The stylist told a podcast he will keep giving contradictory answers about the couple's marriage status because, in his words, nobody has the right to ask.
Law Roach has more or less confirmed what a lot of people suspected all along: he was making it up.
On the Outlaws with TS Madison podcast, Zendaya's longtime stylist said flatly that when people ask him about his client's personal life, he doesn't feel obligated to tell them the truth. "So, every time you ask me, I'mma tell your a** something different," he said, adding that fans and reporters don't have "the right or the allowance or the agency" to be asking about it in the first place.
This whole saga started at the Actor Awards, held just before The Odyssey's release, when Roach told the room that Zendaya and Tom Holland had already exchanged rings. That single line generated a wave of AI-generated wedding photos and no shortage of headlines. Weeks later, at another event, Roach reversed course, saying he'd lied and that the couple isn't officially married. He also floated a timeline this time: the actual wedding, he said, will happen after Zendaya wraps her Dune 3 promotional run.
Zendaya and Holland met on the Spider-Man set back in 2016 and dated quietly for years before confirming the relationship in 2021. Engagement rumours picked up through 2025, and Holland has since referred to her as his fiancee in public. Somewhere along the way, both of them started leaning into the confusion themselves, joking about AI-generated wedding pictures instead of shutting the rumours down.
Asked on the podcast whether Zendaya was annoyed at him for stirring up the marriage story, Roach said no, she found it funny. "She never ever tries to make me be something I'm not," he said, describing how she reacts when he goes off-script on the red carpet. "She never ever ever ever tries to change me."
Holland, for his part, has had to deal with the fallout on the family side. He told Esquire that the AI wedding photos reached his own grandmother, who reportedly assumed she hadn't been invited. When asked if he'd clear things up with relatives, he brushed it off: "No, because they were all there. That's all you'll get on that." During a separate conversation with his Odyssey co-stars, Holland also joked that Zendaya wouldn't do an on-screen romance with Matt Damon because "she's married to me."
So where does that leave things? Officially, still unmarried, going by Roach's own account. What's clear is that neither he nor the couple is in a hurry to settle the record, and the actual wedding, whenever it happens, is apparently waiting on Zendaya's Dune 3 press cycle to wrap up first.
