The actor says the untitled project taught him things every set does, and now heads into post-production before any release word comes out.
Mihir Ahuja has called pack-up on his latest film, a project that pairs him with Prasanna Bisht for what looks like a fresh screen combination. The shoot is done. The film itself, its title, and any release window are still not out in the open, but the wrap itself is the news of the day.
Ahuja, who has been juggling more than one project this year, sounded reflective about the whole thing. "Wrapping this film has been a very special experience for me," he said. "Every project brings something new, and this one gave me the opportunity to learn, explore and work with some incredibly talented people."
He had warm words for his co-star too. "Working alongside Prasanna Bisht was truly wonderful, and we shared some really memorable moments during the shoot," he said, before getting into the part every actor talks about once the cameras stop rolling. "There's always a bittersweet feeling when you wrap a project because you're happy with what you've created, but at the same time, you know you're saying goodbye to a world and characters you've spent so much time with."
That's a familiar line from actors on wrap day, but Ahuja leaned into it a bit more, framing the film as part of a longer arc rather than a one-off. "As an actor, you take something away from every character and every set you work on," he added. "This film has definitely added to that journey for me, and I'm grateful for the entire experience."
He's now waiting, like everyone else, for the film to actually surface. "I'm excited for the audience to eventually see the film and hopefully connect with the story and the characters as much as we did while making it," he said.
What happens next is the standard post-shoot grind. Editing, sound, colour, the works, before anyone even thinks about a poster or a trailer date. There's no word yet on when the film moves from post-production into promotion, or which platform or studio is backing it.
Ahuja has kept himself visible with a mix of roles across formats recently, and this Bisht pairing adds one more to that list. Whether it lands as a theatrical release, a streaming drop, or something announced further down the line is anyone's guess right now.
For now, the only confirmed detail is the wrap itself. The title, the release date, and the first look are all still pending, and that's usually where these things sit for a while before a studio decides it's time to talk.
