Mookuthi Amman 2 hits screens on November 6, 2026 — the same day as Suriya’s Scene, and Nayanthara’s pre-release ritual at Chennai’s Kalikambal Temple is already trending. The actor, who reprises her role as the titular divine force, performed a special pooja and served free meals to devotees ahead of the film’s release.

Videos show fans swarming her, some visibly emotional. The temple visit isn’t just spiritual. It’s a calculated moment in a campaign that’s been building since the first film’s 2020 success. But this isn’t a direct sequel, according to Urvashi, who called it a standalone story rooted in the same mythic energy but with new characters, a fresh adversary, and a new narrative arc.

Sundar C directs, with Venkatt Ragavan handling screenplay and dialogues. The cast includes Regena Cassandra, Yogi Babu, Abhinaya, Duniya Vijay, and a long list of supporting names from Maina Nandini to Pala Karuppiah. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi scores the film, Gopi Amarnath lenses it, and BR Venkatesh oversees VFX. Dr Ishari K Ganesh produces under Vels Film International.

The film’s tagline? ‘A divine cinematic spectacle like never before.’ That’s the promise. Now, the test begins.
