The actor has written to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressing worries around his proposed appearance at the premiere of 'The Paradise' at RTC X Roads, a location that's currently at the centre of Ganesh Nimarjanam preparations across Hyderabad.
On X, Nani thanked the Chief Minister for getting back to him quickly and said he gets it. Immersion season means the police are already stretched thin managing crowds across the city, and RTC X Roads is one of the busier stretches during the festivities.
His point was simple. He doesn't want his premiere plans adding to that load.
Nani said his team would go along with whatever the police department decides once it has assessed the ground situation. If the assessment is that his presence at RTC X Roads could complicate crowd management or create a safety risk, he said he's fine skipping the event altogether.
This follows a request from Revanth Reddy, who asked Nani's team to file a formal application with the local police station before any final call gets made. The Chief Minister flagged crowd-control and public-safety considerations as the things that need evaluating first, ahead of any green light for the visit.
So where does that leave the premiere? Up in the air, technically, though the tone of the exchange suggests neither side is looking for a standoff. Nani's response reads as deferential rather than defensive, and the ball is now with the police station handling the formal application.
RTC X Roads isn't a random pick for a premiere.
