The Oscar winner had the baby in Paris last month, according to People, five months after she confirmed the pregnancy in a Harper's Bazaar interview.
Natalie Portman is a mother of three now, according to People, which reported that the actress welcomed the baby in Paris last month. It's her first child with partner Tanguy Destable, a French music producer she's been with since their relationship was confirmed back in March 2025.
The Hollywood Reporter, citing the People report, reached out to Portman's representatives for comment. They didn't hear back by the time of publishing, so treat the birth as reported, not officially confirmed by her camp.
None of this comes as a total surprise. Portman told Harper's Bazaar in April that she was expecting, and she was candid about what it took to get to that point at 45. "I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant," she said then. "I have so many people I love who've had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well." She called the pregnancy "such a beautiful, joyous thing" while adding, in the same breath, that it's "also not an easy thing."
That interview leaned heavily on perspective, the kind you only get with age. "There is a gratitude that when you're young, you don't necessarily grasp," Portman said. "There's a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day." She also said something that reads differently now that the baby is reportedly here. "Knowing it's probably the last time, I cherish every moment."
Of Destable himself, Portman kept it simple back in April. "Tanguy and I are very excited," she said.
This is Portman's third child. She has two with her ex-husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, from their marriage that ended in divorce a few years ago. The Black Swan star has largely kept her personal life out of the press since then, save for the Harper's Bazaar sit-down that laid out the pregnancy news on her own terms.
There's no official statement yet, from Portman or from Destable, and no word on the baby's name or exact birth date beyond "last month." People's report is the only sourcing on the birth itself right now, which is worth keeping in mind until Portman or someone close to her confirms it directly.
For a star who's spent decades being famously private about her family, that gap between the pregnancy reveal and any birth confirmation tracks. Whether Portman addresses it herself, in an interview or otherwise, is the only thing left to watch here.
