Nazriya Nazim is back in Tamil cinema — and she’s not just returning, she’s landing with a bang. The actress, who hasn’t starred in a Tamil film since 2014’s Thirumanam Enum Nikkah, has confirmed her comeback through Suriya’s upcoming thriller Scene, a project she calls a ‘dream come true’. The announcement came at the film’s audio and trailer launch in Chennai on Saturday, where Nazriya spoke openly about her emotional connection to the city and its audience.

She credited Suriya as the primary reason for her return, recalling past missed opportunities to work together. 'This is truly a dream come true for me,' she said, adding that she’d long admired his work. Her role as Maya, described by her as having the spirit of a One Piece character, marks her first lead in a Tamil film in over a decade.

The film, directed by Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan in his Tamil debut, also stars Naslen as Eeswaran Joseph, a figure poised to challenge Suriya’s unconventional cop, DSP Inbaraj. Lal, Anandraj, and Raj Priyan round out the supporting cast. Music is by Sushin Shyam, and the film is produced by Suriya and Jyothika under 2D Entertainment and Zhagaram Studios.

The official trailer dropped on October 31, offering a mix of action, crime, and dark comedy. Scene is set for a global theatrical release on November 6, 2026. No word yet on whether the film will be available on streaming platforms after its run. But one thing’s clear: Nazriya’s return isn’t just a reunion, it’s a statement.

And the countdown begins.
