Three days before Shaque drops, Raghav Chadha decided the internet needed to know how proud he is of his wife.
The Rajya Sabha MP posted a video on social media Sunday praising Parineeti Chopra's work on the show, which marks her debut in a series. "So proud of you," he wrote, tagging her handle, before getting into specifics about what the shoot demanded of her.
"I know how much you gave to Shaque, especially through a time that was already very special for us," Chadha wrote, without elaborating on what that phase was. He didn't stop at the sentiment. Chadha said he'd spent time on the Shimla set himself and came away impressed by the crew. "An exceptionally talented bunch, and clearly one you had a lot of fun working with," he added, before wishing the whole Shaque team well and predicting the show "is going to keep people guessing."
He signed off counting down to the release. "Can't wait for everyone to watch it on 24th September," he wrote.
Parineeti wasn't going to let that sit without a reply. She responded in the comments, thanking him and turning the compliment right back at him. "This is the sweetest! Thankss Ragaii," she wrote, adding that people ought to know "what a big support and protective husband you were during this time."
It's the kind of public back-and-forth the couple has leaned into before. Parineeti has been doing the rounds for Shaque's promotional cycle, and at the trailer launch she'd already pushed back on the old industry conversation about motherhood derailing an actress's career. Her line there, about not wanting to wait till 50 or 60 to have kids, got its own round of attention. Chadha's post reads like a continuation of that same thread, minus the industry debate, just a husband saying his piece before the show goes live.
Shaque premieres September 24. Beyond the marital PDA, there's an actual show riding on that date, one that's being positioned as Parineeti's first real test on a streaming format rather than the big screen. Whether the series itself keeps people guessing the way Chadha thinks it will is a different question, and one that gets answered in three days.
