The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest cast joins Kapil Sharma tonight at 8 PM, trading paranormal confessions and a Thumak Thumak dance number for laughs.
Kapil Sharma's couch gets a horror-movie makeover tonight. The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5 welcomes the cast of The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest — Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia, Shweta Tiwari, Anup Soni and Maniesh Paul, for an episode that trades the usual film promotion small talk for ghost stories. It drops on Netflix at 8 PM.
Kapil opens with the obvious question: has anyone here actually run into something they couldn't explain? Tamannaah sidesteps the supernatural entirely, saying she's far more scared of people than of spirits. Shweta Tiwari takes a similar line, admitting she's never bought into the whole ghost business even though she's heard no shortage of stories from people convinced they've talked to the dead. Kapil can't resist the punchline here, joking that these self-styled mediums seem to have a direct line to spirits but somehow can't get two living people to communicate properly.
Sidharth goes personal, pulling from his Delhi childhood. He talks about a supposedly haunted house near the spot where he used to play hide-and-seek as a kid, the kind of place every neighbourhood seems to have had, with its own catalogue of strange noises and unexplained incidents that kept the local children thoroughly spooked.
Montage of fear shifts to Maniesh Paul, who doesn't even pretend to be brave about this stuff. He says he sleeps with the lights on, full stop. His best bit, though, is about his daughter, who went through a phase of insisting an "aunty" was sitting in the room with them whenever they were alone. It's the kind of story that gets funnier the more deadpan it's told, and by the sound of it, the studio audience agreed.
The episode isn't all confessions and childhood dread. Sidharth and Tamannaah bring a slice of their film to Kapil's stage with a dance to Thumak Thumak, which should work well as a mid-episode breather between the spookier anecdotes.
This isn't the cast's only stop on the show's promotional run. Bollywood Hungama had earlier reported a separate segment with The Vvaan cast on the same season, part of a format where Kapil Sharma's Netflix show keeps rotating fresh batches of actors through its signature mix of confession, comedy and the occasional musical number.
For now, the ghost-story episode is the one landing tonight, and if the format holds, expect more cast rounds from upcoming Netflix and theatrical releases to keep showing up on that same couch through the rest of the season.
