SNDT Women's University has kicked off admissions for the July 2026 session of its 2026-27 academic year through the Centre for Distance and Online Education, or CDOE. The window closes September 30.

The programmes target women who can't attend regular college but still want to finish or begin a degree. That's been the mandate of the university's distance wing for years, and this cycle keeps the same shape.

On the undergraduate side, the options are BA, BCom, Bachelor of Management Studies and a BA in Mass Media. There's also BA and MA study available in Marathi, Hindi, English, History, Political Science, Sociology and Economics. Postgraduate applicants can go for MCom, MBA or an MA in Education.

Not every course is a straight walk-in. BMS and MBA seats go through a Common Entrance Test. That CET runs online on October 10, and the application window for the test itself stays open until October 5, a full week after the general admission deadline closes.

The university says these distance programmes carry recognition from the UGC's Distance Education Bureau, which matters if a degree needs to hold up for jobs or further study later. Students get online admission processing, subject-expert guidance, self-learning e-books, online counselling and access to multiple study and exam centres, according to the university.

Scholarships remain on the table too, available under existing government norms for students who qualify. The university has also pitched the courses as aligned with the National Education Policy, framing them around employability and career development rather than just credential-chasing.

For students outside Mumbai, the university has set up guidance and assistance centres at its headquarters as well as sub-centres in Pune and Chandrapur-Ballarpur. So the reach isn't limited to the city campus.

The practical takeaway for anyone considering this: general admissions close September 30, but if you're eyeing BMS or MBA and need to sit the CET, you've got until October 5 to register for that test, with the exam itself on October 10. Miss either date and you're waiting for the next cycle.
