Fuze didn't make much noise when it dropped in 2025. A year later, it's doing the thing that matters more: sitting in Prime Video's global top ten, according to Collider's tracking of the platform's most-streamed titles this week.

The David Mackenzie-directed heist film stars Theo James alongside Sam Worthington and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and it carries a Certified Fresh tag on Rotten Tomatoes. Collider describes it as a quiet 2025 hit built on clever twists and a stylish execution, the kind of film that earns word-of-mouth months after release rather than a splashy opening weekend. That's more or less what's happening now.

The timing is pointed because of where James's other big project currently stands. The Gentlemen Season 2 landed on Netflix a month ago and still hit the global number one spot, but it pulled in just 6.7 million views in its opening stretch, down 45 percent from the 12.2 million the first season managed in 2024. James and Kaya Scodelario returned as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, with the show pushing their criminal operation into overseas territory and putting Eddie at odds with Ray Winstone's Bobby Glass. Strong numbers, just smaller ones. And per Collider, the show has since fallen out of Netflix's top ten entirely, edged out by The Great British Bake Off and a new adaptation of Steinbeck's East of Eden.

So while James's flagship franchise cools, his smaller film is picking up streams elsewhere. There's something almost funny about that sequencing. The show with the bigger marketing push and the built-in audience from a Guy Ritchie movie loses steam, while a heist thriller that barely registered on release finds its audience a year late.

Fuze isn't alone at the top. Collider's current Prime Video rundown has The Love Hypothesis as the most-watched title globally, a rom-com that's apparently landing everywhere at once. Project Hail Mary, the platform's bigger 2026 sci-fi play, is still charting but sits lower than you'd expect for what's been the service's defining hit of the year. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle and In the Grey round out the rest of that cluster, per the same report.

None of this is Fuze getting a sequel announcement or a theatrical rerelease. It's just a film finding an audience late, on a platform where algorithms can resurrect something that barely made a dent the first time around. Whether Prime Video pushes it further up the rankings, or whether it fades the way most sleeper catalogue hits do within a few weeks, is the open question now.
