Vishal Chaturvedi Director Telugu Release: Hanuman Ansh Hits Telugu Screens Oct 2

Hanuman Ansh is heading into Telugu cinemas on October 2 — not as a calculated expansion, but as a direct response to fan demand that left the makers with no choice. Writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi confirmed the release at a press conference in Hyderabad, where he spoke about the city’s deep-rooted devotion to Hanuman.

'Hyderabad is the land of Hanuman,' he said. 'Whenever I come to Hyderabad or nearby places, I see tall, tall Hanuman murtis every few kilometres.' He admitted he’d assumed North Indian audiences were the most fervent devotees, but the scale of religious imagery here changed his perspective completely. 'I felt Hanuman ji is everywhere.' The film, which began as a Hindi-language project with a reported budget of ₹2 crores, has already crossed ₹400 crores at the box office, a figure that stunned industry insiders.

Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, one of the film’s production houses, described the performance as a 'slap on our face.' 'Though we are spending crores of money, we aren’t sure how much the films will earn,' he said. 'Hanuman Ansh is the real Pan-Indian film. I request the makers to release it in whatever language possible.' The Telugu version was made possible through the support of Javed sir and Hombale Films, who helped bring the film from Mumbai to Hyderabad for its regional rollout.
