Fame Gurukul is a music reality show that brought together aspiring singers for a competitive platform. CutMirchi covers its former contestants, including Qazi Touqeer, whose journey from the show to Bigg Boss has drawn attention and renewed connections with industry figures like Arijit Singh.
Qazi Touqeer has opened up about declining a television offer from Ekta Kapoor in 2005, revealing he was too young and confused by the role. He claims the rejection led to negative media coverage that hurt his career prospects.
Qazi Touqeer's catchphrase and antics inside the Bigg Boss 20 house have made him a breakout name this season, and old friend Arijit Singh has now publicly backed him, calling him 'apna Rockstar'.
Arijit Singh has announced on X that he will watch Bigg Boss 20 for the first time ever, purely because his old Fame Gurukul co-contestant Qazi Touqeer is in the house this season.
