Jaseela Parveen walked into the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 house this week and didn't wait long to get personal. The actress, familiar to Malayalam small-screen audiences, used her contestant introduction to talk about her temper and, more pointedly, about the domestic violence case she has filed against her former partner Don Thomas, according to Filmibeat Malayalam.

"I need a break," she said, describing herself as someone with a short fuse. "People around me tell me not to hit anyone. But I've never actually hit anyone like that," she added, saying she may have shown too much anger at home. She also promised to give her hundred percent in physical tasks on the show.

The case itself isn't new. Jaseela had earlier gone public with allegations that Don Thomas assaulted her, injuries she said required plastic surgery. Inside the Bigg Boss house, she went further, laying out a timeline of what she says happened.

She said she endured repeated instances of abuse but stayed in the relationship because she loved him, until a point came when she decided to pursue it legally. "My heart is breaking," she said, according to Filmibeat Malayalam, before describing the night of December 31, 2024, when what began as a New Year argument allegedly turned violent. She claimed he kicked her stomach twice and hit her face repeatedly while wearing a bangle, tearing the skin badly enough that she needed plastic surgery.

According to her account, he initially refused to take her to a hospital before eventually driving her there. She says she lied to doctors, telling them she had fallen, and filed a police complaint against him only a few days later. That case, she said, is currently before the courts.

Jaseela also alleged that she was initially willing to settle for a written apology instead of pursuing legal action, but changed her mind. She said the ordeal cost her ten kilos, left her unable to eat, sleep or recognise her own reflection, and that her facial scars needed stitching through surgery. She claimed Don Thomas returned to her life afterward as though nothing had happened, without taking responsibility or offering an apology, despite what she called a final chance she gave him.

CutMirchi has not seen a response from Don Thomas to these allegations, and none is cited in current reporting. These remain claims made by Jaseela Parveen, with the case reportedly still pending in court.

What happens next depends on two separate tracks now running in parallel: how the legal case proceeds outside the house, and how audiences respond to Jaseela carrying this into a reality format built on confrontation. Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 has barely begun, and this is already the story following her in.
