Ramayana’s advance bookings have surged past $2.58 million globally, with Indian presales already hitting ₹15 crore — and the film hasn’t even premiered in theatres. The two-part mythological epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, and Arun Govil, is set to release on November 5, 2026, in Hindi, English, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil.
The numbers come after a high-profile premiere in Los Angeles, where early reactions began circulating online. A widely shared tweet described Yash’s portrayal of Ravana as the standout performance, particularly in his introduction scenes, calling it ‘superb’. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi were noted as solid in their roles as Ram and Sita, though some felt the emotional depth and divine aura of the characters didn’t fully translate on screen.
Still, the film’s ambition and scale drew praise. The climax, which ends on a cliffhanger and introduces Sunny Deol as Hanuman, has sparked strong interest. According to a report cited by Films Discourse, the overseas advance booking total rose by $391,700 in just one day, a significant jump. North America accounts for $1.91 million of that total, followed by UK & Ireland ($268,800), Australia & New Zealand ($248,300), Germany ($86,400), and the rest of the world ($62,800).
