In Thursday's episode of the Telugu serial, an auto driver tries to sell Siri to a trafficker while Rekha quietly works her own scheme against Raj.
Siri gives her captors the slip by biting one of them on the arm, and that's the chaos at the centre of Thursday's Brahmamudi episode, number 1151, according to Telugu Filmibeat's recap of the serial.
The trouble starts when a car driver, spooked after discovering Siri hiding in his boot, dumps her on the road instead of taking her home. Raj traces him through CCTV footage and the vehicle owner's number, and threatens him with a police complaint until the man agrees to share his location. But when Raj and Indu reach the spot, the driver insists he left her right there, and has no idea where she went.
That's when an auto driver spots an opportunity. He convinces Siri he'll take her to her husband, drives her off instead, and calls his men to say he's found a woman he can hand over to a middleman for money. Siri, still confused and insisting on speaking to her husband, is lured inside a building where Raj is nowhere to be found. She fights back, bites one of the men holding her, and runs.
Meanwhile, the real story is what Rekha has been orchestrating from the shadows. Bhramarmba confronts her directly, accusing her of engineering Siri's disappearance purely to pressure Raj into revealing the truth. Sesham, visibly shaken, worries that some predator could take advantage of Siri's vulnerable state. Bhramarmba brushes off the guilt, more anxious about whether her plan will actually work than about what might happen to Siri.
Rekha's endgame, as she lays it out, is blunt. Get the police involved, let them press Raj about his connection to Siri, and bank on him cracking under questioning and confessing. That confession, in her telling, becomes the lever to throw Raj out of the house and transfer Indu's property into her own name.
At the family home, Aparna and Subhash are left in the dark, unable to reach Raj or Indu by phone. When Indu finally calls Aparna with the news that Siri can't be found, Aparna pushes hard for a police complaint, arguing the family simply isn't capable of finding her on its own. But Indu holds firm. She'd rather search themselves than involve the police, wary that a formal complaint could expose the fact that Raj was behind the accident that killed Siri's father. Subhash eventually gets Aparna to drop the idea, reasoning that the family's reputation comes first.
The episode ends with Raj, panicked that Siri might come to real harm out on the streets, ready to go to the police anyway. Indu talks him down, pointing out that if he's arrested, there'd be nobody left to look after Siri at all.
With Rekha's complaint already filed and the police reportedly on their way, Friday's episode looks set to force the confrontation Rekha has been engineering all along.
