RJ Balaji and Venky Atluri extend good luck to Suriya ahead of Scene's Friday release, marking his third film of 2026.
Suriya’s Scene lands in theatres tomorrow, completing a trio of 2026 releases that include Karuppu and Vishwanath and Sons. On the eve of its launch, both RJ Balaji — director of Karuppu, and Venky Atluri, helmer of Vishwanath and Sons, took to social media to wish the actor well.
Balaji posted on X: "Dearest Suriya Sir, this year has been special and memorable for us in so many ways!!! And here’s another reason to add to that glorious list - Scene …!! Wishing you nothing but the very best and a phenomenal blockbuster success, Sir! Jithu & Nazriya - hit it out of the park, guys!"
Venky Atluri shared a message via Instagram stories: "Wishing my dearest, The One, all the very best for the grand release tomorrow! The hattrick blockbuster is surely on the cards. Also, my best wishes to the entire team of Scene. Looking forward to watching it."
Scene marks director Jithu Madhavan’s debut in Tamil cinema, with Nazriya Nazim returning after a 12-year hiatus and Naslen making his Tamil film debut. The film’s commercial performance will be closely watched, especially after Karuppu grossed ₹310 crores worldwide and Vishwanath and Sons collected ₹209.46 crores, according to Sacnilk.
The momentum behind Suriya’s 2026 run reflects strong audience trust in his recent choices. With three films in one year, he’s cementing a streak of consistent output, each backed by solid box office results and growing creative partnerships.
The industry now turns its attention to Scene’s opening weekend. Will it match or surpass the numbers of its predecessors? The answer lies in how audiences respond to the blend of fresh direction, star power, and narrative ambition.
For now, the tributes from fellow filmmakers is a quiet endorsement of Suriya’s enduring presence in Tamil cinema.
