Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 hasn't even wrapped its first week and the house already has its rumoured couple. Contestants Kadalkomban and Aishwarya have become the talking point among viewers, with a section of fans convinced the two are steering toward a love track, Oneindia Malayalam reported.

Aishwarya has pushed back on the theory herself. Asked directly by other contestants about her equation with Kadalkomban, she said there's nothing romantic going on and that she sees him purely as a close friend.

That hasn't stopped speculation inside the house either. One contestant reportedly cautioned Kadalkomban that he isn't used to being this close with women, and warned that he might be misreading Aishwarya's friendliness as something more. Aishwarya, for her part, doesn't seem to have taken the warning too seriously.

The love track is practically a Bigg Boss institution at this point. Malayalam viewers have watched several such pairings play out over past seasons, Pearly Maaney and Shrinish, Dr Robin and Dilsha Prasannan, Jasmine and Gabri among them. What's got people talking this time is the timing. None of those combinations announced themselves inside the first seven days.

Not everyone buying into the theory is convinced it's built to last. Skeptics point out the season is still in its infancy, the first week hasn't technically closed yet, and neither Kadalkomban nor Aishwarya has done much on the competition front to lock in a strong position. That leaves both of them exposed heading into nominations, and a possible early exit would end any love track before it really starts.

The skepticism extends to the format itself, going by fan reactions cited in the Oneindia Malayalam report. One viewer's comment summed up the mood: every season seems to manufacture this kind of pairing, but going back through the show's history, only the Pearly Maaney-Shrinish combination genuinely worked out, and nothing since has quite landed the same way.

Whether Kadalkomban and Aishwarya buck that trend remains to be seen. For now, the bigger question hanging over the house isn't romance, it's survival. Both contestants have kept a relatively low profile in terms of game strategy, and if either lands in the nomination zone this week, the love track debate might resolve itself before the audience even gets a real look at it.

Bigg Boss Malayalam's producers haven't addressed the speculation, and neither contestant has said anything beyond what's aired on the show. The next elimination round should offer a clearer sense of whether this is a storyline the house, or the audience, actually wants to keep alive.
