Two weeks in, and Toxic refuses to slow down.

Yash's action thriller, directed by Geetu Mohandas and titled in full Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, has crossed 330.04 crore worldwide as of Day 14, according to figures reported by Koimoi. That number already puts it ahead of Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which finished its run at 327.20 crore. The film it's actually chasing now sits just above it.

Ram Charan's Peddi closed at 341.13 crore worldwide, currently the third highest-grossing film of 2026 globally. Toxic needs 11.09 crore more to get past that number. Given the pace it's kept up through two weekends, that gap looks less like a wall and more like a formality.

The top of the 2026 chart isn't moving anytime soon. Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 has blown past 1,850 crore worldwide and sits comfortably at No. 1. Sunny Deol's Border 2 holds the No. 2 spot with room to spare. Neither is under any threat. What's actually contested is the No. 3 slot, and that's where Toxic and Peddi are now going head to head, months after Peddi itself finished its theatrical run.

What's working for Toxic is timing as much as anything. Koimoi's report points out there's no major mass release currently competing for screens, which means the film gets an open run through its third weekend to close out the remaining crore. For a film that's already two weeks old, that's the kind of runway most releases don't get.

The collection also says something about where Yash stands post KGF: Chapter 2. A pan-India action film crossing 330 crore in 14 days, holding up against weekday dips instead of collapsing the way big openers often do after the first Friday, is the sort of thing trade trackers flag as a real hold rather than an inflated opening.

Whether Toxic actually gets past Peddi this weekend or needs a few more days depends on how the overseas and Hindi belt numbers move over the next two or three days. Koimoi's own tracking suggests it could happen comfortably before the third weekend wraps up. If it does, the mid-table of 2026's global chart gets a new occupant, and Peddi drops to fourth, four months after its own theatrical run ended.

The next update on Toxic's numbers should settle it either way.
